A release about images, and about how the site is seen by search engines and by people who do not read with their eyes.
Media library
- Focal point. Set a horizontal and vertical point on an image; cropping keeps what the owner chose in frame instead of the centre.
- File replacement that keeps the file ID and every link from entries. The new file is fully validated before it is written, and the old one is deleted only after the thumbnails are rebuilt successfully.
- Rotation of JPEG, PNG, GIF and WebP with thumbnail rebuilding. Transparency is preserved, and the focal point rotates with the image.
SEO & accessibility
A new panel section: a single list of everything that hurts search visibility or makes reading harder — indexing, site description, social sharing image, entries without a description, images without a caption. Entries now carry a language tag: without it, translations of the same entry looked like duplicates.Fixed
- Two new actions and one label had no translations.
- Labels in the new section were smaller than the panel's 11 px minimum.
- On a command-line error the engine rendered an HTML page and wrote a second log entry over the real one.
How to update
Upload the files and click "Update". One migration: a focal point for media library files. The archive was verified by a clean installation through the standard wizard.---
