A bug that can be reproduced gets fixed the same day. A bug described as "something broke" never gets fixed, because nobody can see it. Here is what we need to see it.

What to include

  • Engine version, from "Updates → Engine" in the admin panel. Module versions are under "System → Modules".
  • What you did, step by step, with the page URL.
  • What you expected and what actually happened.
  • The entry from the error log, under "Logs and security → Error log". The lines from the minute when the problem happened. Remove any passwords and email addresses you find in them.
  • PHP version and hosting, if the bug is about installation or updating: "System health" shows everything needed.

Where to post

  • A core bug goes to "Bugs and problems" (or here, in English), with the topic type "Bug".
  • A module bug goes to that module's board in the "Modules" category.
  • A theme bug goes to the theme's board.

A bug topic has a status: "New", "Confirmed", "Fixed", "Not a bug". The studio changes it, so you can see where your problem stands. The fix ships in the next release; we will write the release number in the topic.
